              KATIE CORKREN
Republican for Senate in District 36
   Atlanta-Midtown-Hapeville

You don't need someone to tell you how they will spend your tax dollars.  We need someone in office whose first response is to question whether those dollars would be better off if they stay in your own pocket.

MY PLEDGE:  I will not attack my opponent, Ms. Orrock.  If you believe my values are similar to yours, I ask you to vote for me November 3, 2026.

Common sense values.
Lower taxes.
Small government.
Compassion for people.

I favor:

No property tax for senior citizens

Lower tax burden for veterans

Legislation which supports the 2nd Amendment

Female-only sports, bathrooms, dressing rooms

As a lesbian, I support legislation which upholds gay marriage..

Increased accountability for government officials and law enforcement for criminal violations.

Prioritize benefits for American citizens.

Protect free speech and the exercise of religion.

Abortion only for medical necessity.

The Mission

First of all, who is that person in the picture? I asked AI to make me a headshot, and BAM! She sure is pretty..whoever she is.

The second picture is my brother and me--two down-home American kids.  We were raised by military parents on Air Force bases all across this country.  I first moved to Atlanta in 1999, and I bought my house in south Atlanta in 2009.  We face some significant challenges on the south side of town--from high crime, to poor public schools, to increasing property taxes.

For more than ten years, I have been fighting for accountability and justice relating to government officials and events in the Piedmont District of Georgia, just north of Atlanta.  I also had the wonderful experience of spending three nights in the Fulton County Jail after being falsely arrested after filing a complaint against a police officer, and then quickly exonerated. This has taught me patience, persistence, and pride in my work.

LIFE IS NOT FAIR.  It never will be.  My attitude is this:  Let's make it better, not perfect.  I am especially interested in enforcement of the Georgia Sunshine Laws (open meetings act and open records act.)

I'll ask you to choose me as your voter in the Senate.  You can trust my (mostly) traditional values to ensure that you have a representative who will vote in favor of legislation that minimizes your tax burden, supports gun ownership and free speech, and accountability for government officials.

Our Process

Education

BS- Communication Arts 1993

Pensacola Christian    College.

Advocacy

Fighting for justice for the victims of former police officer Marc Lofton in Barrow County.

https://youtu.be/ptn6rh6vzcM

Fighting for enforcement and clarification of the Georgia Open Meetings and Open records Acts.

Results

Through the work of myself, a team of citizens, and a couple of great attorneys, we were able to have false charges dropped against 67 people, a corrupt police force dismantled, and a multitude of Federal civil rights lawsuits settled in favor of those who were fraudulently charged with crimes they did not commit.  This took place in Barrow County.

Action

Making a Difference.  I am currently still working on civil lawsuits involving enforcement of the Georgia Open Meetings and Open Records Acts.  Several of these lawsuits are currently before the Georgia Court of Appeals.

I'll be adding a facebook and instgram link later.
